I got my test results back today as well, and I am positive also. My actual Lyme was technically negative, but I had IND for 39 and 83-93.

I was also positive for ehrlichiosis.

The strange thing though, was how horrible the rest of my bloodwork was. I was deficient in everything we tested for. I was floored to be told that I was actually sicker than DD. Floored!!! I've spend no time on myself other than to get through the day and was shocked by this.

Our ped wasn't surprised that my tests were so deficient because she has thought all along that DD got this from me. It is a nice feeling to think that we may have found some of the answers. We'll see where we go from here....

I know what you mean about not being able to take care of yourself. I don't think many of us can. I get that advice all the time, "Take time for you; take care of yourself too; put on your oxygen mask first- so to speak." It's so much easier said than done.

I hope you start feeling better soon. ((hugs)))

I actually had them do further confirmatory testing just to make sure we were dealing with Lyme. My symptoms were very tolerable but I'll admit I feel soooooooooooo much better 'on my good days' since being treated. The insomnia/afternoon fatigue was the most bothersome symptom and as a result was really working on my adrenal system. I attributed everything to age, rough pregnancies, hormones, sick kids.... you get the picture.

For us 'knowing' the underlying cause for hyper immune response in the kids was helpful. Add treatment response and my husband and I have gained confidence that we'll survive this as a family.

I always feel I need to add that there is no easy fix to LD, for some kids they respond quickly to treatment.... for other children, its taken time but many are slowly but surely getting there.

Hang in there.

It's amazing to me how many of the parents are coming back with lyme and that so many of us would never be diagnosed if it were not for the search for answers for our children. I hope you have great success with your own treatment!

Glad you have found the answer and I hope you begin to feel better soon. I too decided to get tested. I just had the blood draw on Monday. I'm anxious to find out if I'm just getting VERY old before my time or if its possible that I too have Lyme. Talking to people in my coutry neighborhood, I wonder if many of them have lyme. :( And if they do, I wonder if any of them will ever get the help they need?
