adkmom Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 Can anyone please remind me, I've been over on the Lyme board. Can you get bursts of aggression with PANDAS? Is that not a typical symptom? My ds4 has bursts of aggression (although not always with anger), may just play really rough with toys, crashing and smashing them. thanks.

Kiera Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 Without a doubt, rages, aggression = major PANDAS symptoms!
thereishope Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 (edited) Yes. Can you get bursts of aggression with PANDAS? Edited March 9, 2011 by Vickie
adkmom Posted March 9, 2011 Author Report Posted March 9, 2011 Just wondering. Dr. B had said if aggression continues into say May, we may be looking more at Lyme or Bartonella as the cause, not necessarily PANDAS. I guess the cause doesn't matter much...just fixin it!!
airial95 Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 Aggression(violence, rage) has always been my son's #1 indicator of a strep infection/exposure.

EAMom Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 for us aggression, tantrums, emotional lability showed up b-4 full-fledged OCD and tics.
nicklemama Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 Irritibility, anger and raging/tantrums were the first symptoms my son had. The ocd's showed up not long after. He started hoarding things and cleaning, even his classroom at school. Would not play at all. Since diagnosis (one yr after onset) the anger and raging has disappeared. When he gets a flare up, we see some irritibility.
browneyesmom Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 Absolutely, yes! Aggression and even rages where they attack their parents are seen with PANDAS.... has been the hallmark of when my daughter is extremely ill. I hope things improve for you soon!
