Don't have time for a real update because I am EXHAUSTED but I promise I will tomorrow.

I start treatment on Monday for not just Lyme & Mycoplasma like expected but also Bartonella, Babesia, & Blastocystis Hominis (a parasite).

Wow Emerson!

Well, now you know what you are fighting and I think that you will be so surprised at how much better you will feel once you rid your body of all of these infections!

I look forward to your update tomorrow!

I'm very happy that you know what you are fighting! You always knew that you were ill with SOMETHING and now you know what that something is! I wish you all the best. Hugs from Missouri.

Hope you got some rest. Can't wait to hear what your treatment protocol is. <3

I saw that little yellow liquid vial on his desk once he got done with the ART & just said "####. That's Mepron," hahaha. I was REALLY hoping that I'd dodge the Babesia bullet, but oh well. He said we're going to knock the Babesia out last, which sounds about right with what I've heard from everyone else who's done treatment for that one. In preparation for herxing I've got dandelion root tea, decaffeinated Kombucha, organic peppermint tea, spirulina, milk thistle, an awesome heating blanket, & Epsom salt bath stuff. Getting a probiotic also next week after I talk to my stepmom, who uses them everyday & can help me pick a specific one. I couldn't bring the Mundipur & Renelix on the plane so those will be getting here tomorrow or Sunday, whenever my Mom gets back, & we'll be filling the prescriptions tonight. I want to start with everything, so I'm waiting until Monday when I'll have everything ready. At the end of the appointment he asked if I would like to take it slower, & I just looked at him & I was like "No. I'm so done waiting, hit me with your best shot." Does anyone have experience with the Blastocystis Hominis parasite, or any others for that matter? That was the only one where I was a little taken aback.

I absolutely loved the doctor. He talked to me on his level. It wasn't like he was trying to explain every little thing & it seemed like he realized that I knew what I was talking about. He also talked to ME, not my Mom, which I always like. Mom has been doing much better lately, but I think that sitting in the room with myself & a Lyme doctor, hearing the way we talked about not only the diseases but also about specific patients of his that I know, showed her that there is a lot left to learn. & I mean that in an optimistic way, not a discouraging one. Because don't we all have a lot left to learn, really?

Treatment plan for the next two months ~

Prescriptions;

100 mg Doxycycline twice a day for two months.

300 mg Omnicef twice a day for one month. (Starting when halfway through the Doxy.)

650 mg Yodoxin three times a day for one month.

Homeopathic;

Samento, at increasing doses until I reach 15 drops twice a day.

Noni, same as above.^

Mundipur, 1 tsp twice a day.

Renelix, 1/2 tsp twice a day. (Start when finished with Mundipur.)

Para-L, can't remember the dose.

I am so excited for you! You have fought so hard and advocated for yourself in a way that continues to amaze and inspire me. I hope you start to see improvements quickly! xoxo Laura

Whoa! Sounds like a great treatment plan.

So, just to forewarn you in that the Samento created the biggest herx for our son, although, our daughter was fine with it so everyone is just different. The herbs sound like they can be more benign, but they are pretty powerful! We definitely followed his instructions in terms of only adding only one drop a day because the herxing was rough.

The Mundipur and Renelix should really help with detox!

So, did he start you on Mepron as well for the babesia?

Yeah, I am so glad that you have a treatment plan!!!!!!

After watching your journey on the PANDAS forum, I just feel excited for you in terms of figuring out the root cause of your symptoms and for having a plan in place!!

I've heard that the Samento & the Noni are pretty bad for herxing. D: I'm ready, though!!! & I am most definitely sticking to one drop a day. I have no desire to live on the edge & add more, haha.

Most definitely! I'm glad that I waited on the detox. Should be interesting to see how this coming week goes. One good thing was that I am definitely already rocking basically the simplest diet humanly possible, hahaha. He was like "Think you could do a very basic diet?" & I was like "Way ahead of you," hahaha.

Mepron is well down the road, & he said that we're going to avoid it at all costs (no pun intended) because I don't feel like dealing with that inevitable insurance battle, not to mention the things I've heard about the actual medicine, hahah.

Thank you SO much Elizabeth! Monica said that she loved you & your kiddos & would be missing you guys, by the way.

WOWWWWWWah! Now I want to see him!

That sounds amazing. I'm so glad you liked him, and so glad he was willing to help you. YAY!!!!! *happy dance*

Emerson, I'm trying to remember - did you originally test negative for other bugs? My ds18's Igenex tests were negative for all but Lyme - that was bad enough, I hate to think that he might be positive for some of the other crud after all! We're going to travel to an LLMD in LA (we're from the Houston area) - is that the one you're seeing, too?

Oh yeah, and when your doc says a basic diet - how basic is he talking about? Whole foods based or like just meat & veggies?

Thank you SO much! Doing it on my own might have sucked, but I can't even tell you how proud I am of myself right now. :) <3
