justinekno Posted February 13, 2011 Report Posted February 13, 2011 (edited) Does anyone have information on muscle testing or maybe suggestions on where to look to get educated on it? Even though the concept intrigues me, I would like to have a better understanding of how it works. I read through a couple of posts on the board about it but I'm trying find more detailed information. Edited February 13, 2011 by justinekno
MichaelTampa Posted February 13, 2011 Report Posted February 13, 2011 I think it can be very useful in guideing treatment for lyme, as there are so many factors and complications. If you look on youtube, you can probably find a couple presentations showing it. I have seen some in the past. Muscle testing is used a lot in the alternative health community, and particularly by acupuncturists, certainly EFT practitioners if you could find one of those. I would look there and hope to find someone that would be willing to teach you hands-on. Although teaching that is not their normal thing, some really do enjoy teaching people to help themselves in this way. I have never been able to successfully do true muscle testing for myself. But I use a pendulum to get my answers. It was the one thing I could finally figure out to do. It did take practice over time. If you want to try the pendulum route, I'd be happy to try and help you learn. Would be easier over the phone than posting and email. But, really, much easier in person, and your best bet is to find someone local who can sit down with you and show you. Regarding the "how it works", perhaps google "energy testing" or "kinesiology testing" and you should probably find some articles or blogs out there on the topic.
pixiesmommy Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 We did something similar- NRT (nutritional response therapy) with a chiropractor, and had good results in the beginning, but after a year, we plateaued and stopped. It can be really expensive because you are buying supplements, as well as sometimes taking a LOT of supplements at a time.
justinekno Posted February 14, 2011 Author Report Posted February 14, 2011 (edited) That's a good idea I will check out YouTube. Our LLMD does ART Muscle Testing so I was curious to learn more about it. If you look on youtube, you can probably find a couple presentations showing it. I have seen some in the past. matis_mom Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 that's what I was afraid of! It can be really expensive because you are buying supplements, as well as sometimes taking a LOT of supplements. I think it depends a lot on who you go to. We have a wonderful lady who does muscle testing and corrections. She is super honest and never pushes stuff on you. She carries only a few supplements, which she sells at cost. So if you find the right person, it can actually save you a ton, because you can test the supplements and see if they are good for your right now, and how much to take exactly. I just took my daugther in and I was floored! She tested positive for Bartonella, but only in the nervous system (which makes total sense because she only has "head" symptoms). She also picked up "ovaries" and was surprised, as my daughter is only 10, but she did have a cyst removed from one of her ovaries when she was 4! You got to see it to believe it! I think this is the route I will take with my other kids as a first way to figure out where to start, instead of going from doctor to doctor.
pixiesmommy Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 I do totally believe in it- I did it for myself and mine picked up a chemical that is in paint solvent. The chiro/NRT was puzzled about this and so was I... I came home and googled the chemical and found out what it was in, and it made sense then. I used to have a job painting Tom Clark gnomes from home and used paint solver CONSTANTLY for about 2 years straight- at the height of when I started having neuro symptoms. Go figure.
