OMG. It packs a wallup. 2 hours after taking my first dose, I was irritated, annoyed, stressed, shakey and headachy. Feeling slightly better a few hours from that. I'm taking Transfer Factor Muti-Immune and LymPlus.

That's definitely from the LymPlus. I was on the multi-immune for years before starting LymPlus slowly as recommended and I felt flu-like symptoms for about two weeks. It's been two months and I feel really good now. Looove Transfer Factor!!

yes it is pricey - (I'm assuming you are tlaking about the transfer factor?) .That's one of the reasons I'm holding off on it. Seems like it is similar claims to Fishoil, and we already do fishoil. Also, a lightbulb went off in my head last night - I take a supplement called "Min Tran" from Standard Process. My accupuncturist originally gave it to me when I had jumpy, twichy muscles that were realted to a herniated disk (chronic pain). The way she explained the supplement was that when your body is in chronic pain, it "burns through" minerals faster, and can't get the minerals to muscles. This supplement helps transfer them (thus the name Min Tran). It also can help you fall a sleep - it relaxes you EVER so slightly (less than melatonin) and if your only issue is minor inability to FALL asleeep - it works for that.

So, I've taken this stuff on rare occassions for several years to either fall asleep, or if I have twitchy muscles (it works very well for me, but I have MINOR issues compared to DS)...I gave some to my son this morning. Sounds very similar to transfer factor. There's nothing in it that could be harmful, and its alot cheaper (plus its in my cabinet). I'll let you know how it works out.

Transfer Factors for myco & HHV-6 have been recommended--Aaaa--give me an idea on HOW pricey. Only so many $$$ to go around here. Ugh, so haven't decided what to do & for whom right now. Dawn

It is about $125 a month for both bottles (Multi-Immune and LymPlus). I think the LymPlus is $80 and the other is $45 or so (if I have that right, it's early here.. :) ) I'm still working my way up to a full dose and I'm still herxing! If it helps as much as it's making me feel crummy, it will be worth it. So these two bottles will last 2 months or more but once up to full dose, it's only 1 month's worth of pills.

That's about what I pay for both.

Susan, those flu-like symptoms should disappear within 2 weeks. I hope you find the Transfer Factor as effective as I do for us!

P.S. Keep the LymPlus refrigerated.

I know...the cost for all these supplements is killing me financially. For DD and myself I am spending $650 / month. And that's just for two of us. I know some on this forum have multiple family members going through this! I can only hope that this won't be for too long!

just started some lyme protocal...

at what point do you add lymes plus or transfactor?

now..2 weeks..1 month???

My lyme doc started me on it after 3 months. I don't know if this is typical or not but it makes since as she usually gets you used to the each stage before starting a new one. I would not have wanted to start TF along with all my other lyme meds. But my LLMD and I agreed one of our goals would be keeping me at work and the kids at school so we have been taking it slow and seeing how we react at each stage.

I was already on the immune transfer factor when I started Lyme treatment. I started the LymePlus about 30 days after starting abx.
