Guest Huey
Has anyone in this forum heard of an antioxidant supplement--pycnogenol for treating TS? I wonder how is it different from grape-seed extract? Any side effect of taking this type of anti-oxidant supplement for children under age 10? Many of you in this forum are quite knowledgeable about supplements. Please share your insight with me. Thanks! -Huey-
Chemar
Hello Huey pycnogenol IS the active ingredient in grapeseed extract. It is very beneficial as an antioxidant and immune system booster. when my son was on his supplement program for his TS/OCD/ADD the pycnogenol was an important part of the overall treatment. I know that Bonnie Grimaldi used to include it in her program tho i havent checked to see whether it is still in her BonTech products for TS We still use it when anyone in the family is ill or run down. Guest huey
Cheri: Thank you for the information. I checked BonTech and they still carry the t-GRAPE antioxidant supplement. How old was your son when he took this supplement? For how long? My son is 9 and he weighs only 70 pounds. I worry about over dosage. -Huey-
Chemar
Hello Huey my son was 11 and weighed over 100lb when he started the grapeseed extract. He took it daily for almost 4 years. If you check the lable, it should specify the dose for under 12yo To my knowledge it is a very safe supplement
