I am waiting for Igenex test kit. Reading "Advanced Topics in Lyme Disease" by Joseph Burrascano. Discovered a symptom called neurally mediated hypotension. My son has fainted 3 times over the last 2 years and has gotten lightheaded and at beginning of illness had heart palpatations. We have been treating PANDAS and this one set of symptoms has always bothered me because I could never really relate this to PANDAS.

No one on the PANDAS board ever mentioned these symptoms so I'm wondering if anyone's child with lyme has experienced this. This puzzle piece has been puzzling me. Kahy

I also had dizzy spells causing me to fall over and become disoriented. This also extended into bed spins during the night. At the time, I went to the Dr. and they claimed inner ear infection and was treated with motion sickness medication and told it would go away. It did but would eventually reoccur.... again, always assuming it was from an inner ear infection. The dizzy spell only happened a handful of times but the bed spins last for several days at a time. It was an awful feeling. Only now can I list it along with my symptoms realizing it all pointed to my Lyme Diagnoses.

One of my children has had heart palpitations. He has also complained about balance issues. Maybe he means he is lightheaded. He tests negative for Babesia but since he is getting some night sweats the doctor is scratching his head on this bug. I guess night sweats are very common with Babesia. The doctor never said that the palpitations were due to anything other than Lyme and they are gone after three months of treatment. Oh, this boy is 11 and has PANDAS too.

We had drenching night sweats in all three children when starting Lyme treatment and only one is positive for Babesia. However, I think they suspect Babesia for the other two as well.

My dd9 will get a racing heart beat at the same time as it starts to burn. It lasts a minute or two and then stops. She also has had dizzy spells. I don't know if it's the same as what you have described. She has never fainted.

My DS is also diagnosed with PANDAS, and has shocks all over his body, including his heart that have thrown him to the ground. He has also passed out several times (felt light headed, and then passed out.) Got better after IVIG/PEX, but reoccured with new flareup.

I never knew night sweats could be a symptom of babesia. Interesting. I'll have to mention that to our LLMD.
