Just trying to figure out all the possibilities we need to rule out for my ds18's issues. Saw viruses mentioned elsewhere here as a possible PITANDS trigger - sure would seem to be a good possibility in our case. What labs do they check? How do they go about diagnosing that? And what treatments do they give since abx wouldn't work? IVIG or antivirals or what?

I good virus panel. Our LLMD did it for us through Medical Diagnostic Laboratories. Included: Chlaymydia trachomatis, Epstein Barr Virus, Cytomegalovirus, Human Herpes Virus 6, Mycoplasma, Chlamydia Pneumoniae, Chlamydophilas Psittacti, Herpes Subtype 1 & 2. XMRV has also been problematic for some but expensive to test for comparatively.

We have been using a homeopathic anti-viral for the last year and I believe its helped: SyImmune http://syntrion.eu/usa/products/syimmune-tablets

There is a yahoo group who believes Valtrex is helping their children ( Like we believe in antibiotics) These children are mainly Autism related but as pandas has similarity with some autism trait, it might be worthy looking into it. My ds had been on Valtrex for 3 months before we changed our course to antibiotics.
