  1. A little late but I'd like to add my 2 cents. I also noticed there was no mention of natural remedies or attempts to try anything natural. And as far as medicines, it would be interesting to know if she takes and what she must take--probably for the balance of her life. Any surgery that is done on the human body can cause problems. There are many risks and this surgery is too new. I have heard that less than a dozen have been performed worldwide--I also wonder what exercise may do to the implant? a car accident or any violent movement---can the implant be moved? And if moved or jarred what are the consequences? I am also wondering about the "computer" that she wears. How is that powered? If battery and the computer is inside the body, how is it changed? Again, another surgery. I think everyone would agree that it was a success for her and hope her new life continues--but I think there are still too many unanswered questions.
  2. A CHEER FOR MS. ROGERS. HER KNOWLEDGE, DEMEANOR, CALM PRESENTATION AND THE WAY SHE HANDLED THE CALLERS SHOWS THAT WHILE SOME MAY CONSIDER HER A VOICE IN THE DARKNESS SHE CAN HANDLE THE SUBJECT WITH GRACE, EASE AND AGAIN--KNOWLEDGE! I PERSONALLY HOPE THIS INTERVIEW LEADS TO MORE COMPASSION AND UNDERSTANDING OF TICS AND TOURETTES. I WOULD ALSO HOPE THE BOOK WILL BE RECEIVED BY THOSE SEEKING AN UNDERSTANDING AND EDUCATION ON THE SUBJECT. KUDOS TO MS. ROGERS!
  3. I only saw the last 15 minutes, but it was amazing to watch those kids and how they are living their lives now. But did you notice that in the credits, Sheila Rogers was listed? That says something about Sheila--but we need to get her word out. I am sure the book will help.
  4. Yes, it looks like she has done an excellent job on her book. I am sure she has put many things aside to write and finish this book. To everyone--spread the word regarding this book! Congratulations and I know you are helping many children and their families and many others!! You are the GREATEST!
  5. I think we are all glad the Forum is back and certainly glad that Sheila did not suffer any further problems in the switching of the Forum to a new server. Francois
  6. Hello-- Have a question on the "spots/floaters". I have had these for some time and was only just told I have Type 2 Onset Diabetes and of course high blood pressure. I have been able to reduce blood pressure thru exercise -- and diet. The sugar count has gone to a more normal range. But these spots/threads still remain. Any ideas out there? I have regular eye exams every year. My age is 57---any thoughts? Francois
