  1. Hey There Anyone recommend a good vitamin for tics? Also, how much mag and vitamin B6 should I be giving him a day? Anything else other then omega 3? He is 9 years old and weighs 55 lbs. Thanks for your help, BikeWP
  2. Hi! I give my son Cal-Mag Zinc Liquid by MRM (Metabolic Response Modifiers). I buy it at Vitamin Cottage. White/purple bottle. The flavor is orange-vanilla. My son really did not like the Natural Calm at all. Just a suggestion. Good luck, BikeWP
  3. Hi Everyone Thanks for your posts on my page regarding "Both Kids have Tics". I took your advice and got my son tested (blood, urine and stool). THAT took forever! Can someone please fill me in a little about Pyroluria? He apparently has this, along with some other things (gluten allergy, cane sugar...). I know that it has to do with lack of B6 and Zinc but how much should I give and has anyone seen a difference? My integrated med doctor wanted me to buy his vitamins but I am sure that they will be very expensive (as you know, integrated docs are NOT cheap). Any recommendations? As always, any help is greatly appreciated!
  4. I just wanted to update you all on my son. I finally went to a integrated doctor and had some blood work done. Come to find out her tested positive for cane sugar, gluten, yellow #6, MSG, grapes and grapefruit. I have started weening him off cane sugar and gluten and have seen a HUGE difference! He also was low in B12 and mag. Highly recommend getting blood testing.

  5. Hi I am new to the site and have a few questions on my son (and now daughters) tics. I am wondering if anyone would have any suggestions on maybe an "environmental allergist" in the Colorado area. Also, is there any testing that you would recommend? I feel like I am a bit lost. I have gone to a "seasonal" allergist and they were clueless on what's causing the tics. My son has terrible seasonal allergies and the tics seem to get worse with dairy (checked dairy, not allergic). Any ideas on what type of doctor I should go to? I also have noticed that they are bad in our house and surrounding areas. I find it strange that my son (9) and my daughter (6) BOTH have them! I have gone to a neurologist and the only words I received was "yes, he has tics and go ahead and put him on a mag supplement". Really??? Thanks doc! Already been there, doing that. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.
  6. What kind of testing is out there for tics? Any doctor suggestions for the Colorado area?
