  1. Yes ktdommer - He was tested for Lyme. Came up negative. What probiotic do you use?
  2. Wanted to post 9 year old sons blood test results: Strep Anti-DNAaseB 1190 High IgG 819 High IgM 1722 BUN/Creatinine 47 Based on those numbers the Doctor put him on Augmentin in morning and Biaxin at night. Seems like quite a bit, Also included Culterelle Probiotic. Like I said in previous post he went to be feeling nauseas, Not sure if its related.
  3. My son just started course of ABX today, Feeling a bit nauseas before bedtime. Not sure if its meds or stomach bug setting in as his mom had stomach bug a few days ago, Also gave him Culterelle probiotic today for first time at Doctors recommendation. perhaps that could be culprit.
  4. Blood work results show high Strep Anti-DNAaseB 1190, high IgG 819 and high IgM 1722. Doctor suggests round of ABX. Should I move this thread to PANDAS forum at this point? Also high BUN/Creatinine 47. We will try ABX and see what happens. I also want to add Probiotic. Has anyone used Culterelle? Doctor recommended it.
  5. Thanks Mar - yes the stomach roll is painfull to watch. I get so quiet when he does it trying to hold back my tears. I'm one of his coaches so its hard for me to deal with it and also continue to pay attention to rest of team. We have a phone consult with Dr today to go over blood results. What type of probiotic have you tried? Do you supplement with magnesium. I'm so grateful for your replies. It gives me hope,
  6. Mar - What type of dietary changes have you implemented? Also what have you done to help with gut issues? Do you supplement at all? Was your son diagnosed at all? We are waiting on blood work results. Hopefully that will give us some direction. Right now I feel like we are just grasping at straws. His behavior really goes down hill when he's waxing. I would assume its all related.
  7. Hi Pilbara - do you attribute it to him being nervous? My sons tics really start waxing when he's being addressed by his coaches. Especially if its negative. It must be nerves at that point. I have tried giving him Natural Calm mixed with some water before activities. It seems to help a bit. My wife doesn't buy into any of the supplementation I have tried. That in and of itself is a whole other issue. Anyway, I keep looking for answers but always seem to come up empty. However I will never give up trying to help him. Chemar - I have always thought about the pesticides and fertilizers on sports fields in addition to the grass and allergy issues being triggers. That may indeed be the case. However it also happens when he's indoors playing basketball. Maybe the cleaners they use on the floors? Thanks for the responses.
  8. My 9 year old son who has suffered on and off with various tics for years now shows a marked increase in tic frequency during his sports activities. He plays quite a bit of organized baseball and basketball. Maybe he's nervous or anxious or feels pressure. If so, would that cause his tics to wax? I notice the tics start to increase in the day or two leading up to a game or practice. Than the frequency peaks during the event itself. Its usually in the form of an eye blink or eye roll, or sometimes a stomach or abdominal type crunch. Its tough to watch. I get so sad and quiet. Has anyone experienced this with there child during sports activities? If so does anyone have any thoughts on how to ease his angst which I'm assuming is the culprit.
  9. Thanks for the quick replies. Took him to doctor yesterday as a precaution. No strep and no signs of anything else. Our GP is not even concerned about the tics. Does not even address the issue, It drives me crazy. Just thinks neck pain related to muscle strain from physical activity or sleeping wrong. I have been witnessing the waxing and waning of tics in him for years. My spouse and GP do not seem concerned. Me on the other hand am very concerned. Took him for complete blood work up today. Could the blood work show elevated titers even though strep test negative?
  10. My 9 year old son woke up complaining of serious neck pain. Within a few hours he developed a neck tick followed by eye roll.. He has suffered from various tics for years. Has had neck tics in the past. I'm wondering if the neck pain triggered the recent neck tic or the tics triggered the neck pain. I'm hoping when pain subsides the tics will wane.
