A little about me:)

Hi everyone, my name is Lee. I am the proud mum of 4 very georgious but demanding children! We have 2 girls age 9 and 6, and 2 boys 4and 2. We live in Darwin Australia, have a big fluffy cat named Alex, 2 guinea pigs and a rabbit. There is never a dull moment at our pace;)

Our eldest daughter was diagnosed with TS last October. She has had tics since she was at least 6. Last year we noticed her grades slipping and attitude and behaviour at home were less then acceptabl. After googling ( for curiosity sake ) eye blinking in children, I discovered Tourette's and every thing fell into place. I knew instantly that this is what our beautiful daughter had, and after 4 months of harassing the medical profecion we had a diagnosis. This was bitter sweet as I'm sure you all know, as it was the beginning of a new chapter in our lives, one that I have to say is so much more involved then I could have ever had imagined.

I Stumbled across this forum while on a one of my TS researching binges. It was such a relief to read what other people had been experiencing, emotions they felt, questions the had, it made me realize that I am not alone and everything we are dealing with and how I'm feeling is all perfectly normal.
