We just got ours back last week and I was able to interpret them pretty easily myself. Our immunologist was also able to decipher them. My son had pretty straightforward bands that were positive though - 31,34,39,45 and 58. I can imagine if you have some indeterminate bands and/or maybe just one or two bands then a LLMD might be helpful. You will probably want the help of a LLMD for the antibiotic protocal too. Some people recommend searching and booking for a LLMD now just in case your results are positive since they book so far out.

We will be testing on Monday and I have been told it takes 2 weeks for the results. Are the results so complicated that you need an LLMD to interpret them or can an allergist/immunologist do the job as well?

Many thanks!

If there are any Lyme specific antibodies ALONG with symptoms they usually treat. However it is extremely beneficial tonseek an opinon from an ilads trained llmd because he ornshe will know by he symptoms whether to suspect particular confections. Even if the results say "negative" for CDC and igenex scores a lyme md will usually treat if there are any Lyme specific antibodies and the patient has Lyme symptoms. Certain symptoms are associated with babesia and bartonella and only a llmd will know the difference and how to treat. Tests for confections are often falsely negative. Also if band 31 is present dr j told me it takes a year for that to show up, indicating a longer exposure to Lyme.
