I booked my spot Aug 16 and 17th ,Im not thrilled with those dates because its 2 weeks after a scheduled IV and it means he will miss one (every 21 days).I wanted it around the 6th but hes real busy.I dont know what I want to do ,not sure but scheduled it and Louise said Dr B will call me and I can talk to him.

Did you think about doing one more round of low dose to stay on schedule - then see Dr. B three weeks later in September?

That's what I was thinking, too. Something to discuss w/ Dr.B, I suppose.

Hi I spoke with Dr J the other day, Melanie. She believes that low dose is the best for immune compromised children and high dose, she will consider if she feels the need or agrees with my analysis when we meet.Atleast thats what I understood from the conversation.

Anyways, I agree, see Dr B and what he has to say and then decide.Do you have your paperwork from Dr J to take with you?

Sorry I've been reticent about posting of late. Brian was exposed to strep at the Marlboro swim club camp and its been totally stressful around here. The camp people all knew to let me know but I heard it from my son instead and a few days into the process, since it was his friend who was sick. I found out three days post sickness, probably longer since exposure and continued exposure since the sick kids twin brother was still actively attending camp. Mom confirmed strep and I understood why I've been seeing so much ramping up.I have to do something about Defino for 3rd grade- no one seems to understand how crucial this info is for us.

Anyways, we all have our own struggles and this forum and wonderful moms here is what keep me sane.I get so much strength and fighting spirit reading all the stories.

Please take care and let us know what Dr B says.

I think thats what Im going to do.Have his scheduled 21 day dosage and then in september go to DR B.Although Ill be back at work and he will be at school,my husband will have to do the trip.

Unless Dr B can squeezeee us in,hoping he will call this week hes been very busy.
