No trip to Grandma's and Grandpa's

So I was supposed to bring the boys to their grandparents this week to enjoy the pool and their cousins, but my 2 1/2 year old nephew tested positive for strep this morning. PANDAS SUCKS!

 

If the boys get on prophylactic antibiotics will they be safe around strep? I can't wait for their Dr. appointment. I got it moved up today to the 17th instead of the 24th. YEAH!

At least with my son, YES THEY WILL REACT EVEN ON ANTIBIOTICS. Don't chance it. I know, it sucks. I could make a list of all the things we've missed out on because of this, but what's the point... Just be thankful you found out BEFORE you were exposed!

My son reacts even when on abx, but usually the days prior to the strep infection being discovered, by the time the other kid knows he has strep and gets on abx himself, my son has come back down. Depending on how bad your flare ups are, I probably wouldn't risk it...
