Johnsmom Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 Hello- By now some of you may recognize me as the one who is doing the countdown until our 1st appt with Dr K. My head is spinning with all the acronyms and verbiage that comes across this forum. After being on autism forums for 3 yrs now I feel like I am in another world!! My ds is diagnosed as PDD-NOS. He has had six blood tests that reveal elevated ASO's only. His symptoms come and go. I have a kid one day or week that is so on and then the next week he is not. We go from alert, conversational, good speech, motivated, no weird body movements or faces to the complete opposite. What can we expect. We have never had any other testing done for other viruses but we have been on the bio-medical path for three yrs and are on the diet supplements, have done IV chelation and many urine and lab tests. thanks again and 8 more days!!!!! johnsmom
Doug Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 You will be in good hands with dr.k just take as much info as you can with you and you just talk to him,his office is very small and he is very calm. We did ivig with him about 6 weeks ago and we are on the right track we see good changes with having it done. He is a great doc.. he will talk to your son a little also. Relax! that is what he tells me all of the time! Tracie&Doug
