jewels Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 I just wondered if you can get cover for DAN Drs by your medical Insurance. They are not just for ASD conditions but for all immune/autoimmune conditions. I cannot say just how great their tests are for finding out imbalances and yeast issues in the body. I've noticed quite a few have used them. We could of got free cover here due to amount of allergies that my dd had, but we were to desperate to wait around for the red tape to be cut, so went as private patients, however in can be expensive. Our DAN was fantastic, and she turned dds health around quickly with what was uncovered with the test results. (most of the tests were sent to the US) They know the ins and outs of the best supplements for each child, and the order that they should be used. If you can get insurance, I recommend this path. We have just applied for funding for gut issues now and hoping for approval. If not covered, then we need to Kidnap Cheri on this site as a PANDA keeper! Jules
JTs-Mom Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 I believe it varies by practitioner. My son just started seeing a DAN doctor who is a family practice MD that accepts most major insurance. His practice is made up of 80% autistic kids. He has an autistic child himself, so he's been active in that community.

jewels Posted February 27, 2010 Author Report Posted February 27, 2010 I hope more use them, we seem to have children with added issues when they are knocked with this condition. My dds measles reaction was unreal, and couldn't find a single Dr who wanted to comment on it or more importantly treat her. The DAN had her on Vit A as soon as possible whilst supporting the explosion of new allergies. I owe her so much, she just seemed to know how to treat her, what to look for and how much dosage of supplements needed. We need to mix DAN Drs in with other Medical Drs at Hospitals. I have found some natural products to be far better than lots of main medicine. It makes alot of sense to balance the body and have everything working as near to normal, when taking on the PANDAS.
