I was just reading at this link and now in hind sight I recongnize some symptoms my dd had when this whole thing started 3 years ago. She would complain that when she would lay down at night she couldn't breathe well and thinking back I either attributed it to a cold she recently had or to the fact that she was struggling with milk intollerances that made her really phlegmy. lso, she periodically (not even daily but once in a while) complained of chest pain. It seemed inconsiquential at the time. Once in a while i also feel chest pain with a sharp intake of breathe and I've heard that is nothing to be worried about. It passes quickly and that is it.

I am praying to God that this new antibiotic will bring my little girl back to normal. She so needs a break from this ###### she's been living.

What antibiotic is she one? Perhaps if you still have occassional chest problems, it wouldn't hurt to get yourself checked out. If it is an active infection, Mycro P is contagious.

With my non-PANDAS son, all he had was a cough. I never would have taken him to the dr for it. I thought it was sinus drainage from allergies. I took him in for one thing and left with a dx for something I never was concerned about.

She's now on Biaxin as of yesterday. Two doses down. The thing that I have had has gone on all my life and is something I've heard others talk about. It is a sharp pain that shows up only once in GREAT while. When you inhale deeply, it feels like a sharp pain. If you stop breathing for a few seconds, it goes away. Anyone ever heard of that? (or is it just my family) A year or more could go by without feeling it. Then it might happen twice in a month then go away again for a long time.

This has really caught my interest. This past fall I went to the ER for chest pain.... ran all the 'heart related' tests.... My symptom.... sharp chest pain that took my breath away! even that day it came and went a few times... follow up with my normal Dr.... they did not check for MP.... I may go back and ask for the bloodwork..... we are waiting on labs on my son and daughter.... if they show + I am definitely having myself and the rest of our bunch tested....

I have not had that severity since November/early December.... but it really has me thinking as i do have joint pain esp in hips/pelvis.... and elbows.... More food for thought.... I am going to need to move from a plate to a platter!
