sf_mom Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 PMom: Do you know specifically which 7 serotypes they are vaccinated for and I'll let you know. My father-in-law is a Urologist 35+ years.... so not a pediatrician or pediatric specialist. -Wendy
P_Mom Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 Yes... serotypes 4 (4).....14 (14).....19 (19F)....23 (23F).....26 (6B).....56 (18C).....and 68 (9V) Being above 2.0 on 7 of these (even if some don't include ones he was vaccinated for)...is actually VERY good!
sf_mom Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 OK...... so, the ones that Corsa was vaccinated for ARE SHOWING 'mostly' protective. Makes me wonder. The only problem is these numbers are dropping rapidly post IVIG and Dr. this morning said it was due to half life of Donor Antibodies..... Her feeling, it is important for them to continue to show protective status. She was also very concerned about our younger son's lack of responsiveness in 13 of 14 serotypes plus low IgG. BUT, maybe even more concerned for our Daughter who's IgGs are even lower and her weight has dropped from 40% to under 10% at 2 1/2. Serotype 4 = 2.9 Serotype 14 = 4.5 Serotype 19 = 5.2 Serotype 23 = 1.3 Serotype 26 = 6.0 Serotype 56 = 2.2 Serotype 68 = 1.8 Thanks for your help PMom!!!
