Where do I go now?

Everyone here has been so informative and supportive. My 8 1/2 ds is still ticcing severly with his neck tics. The mag taurate is not doing anything and I just started B6. I would like to get him tested for a host of things. So where do I start? Who do I ask to run these tests? I want to explore the PANDAS route as well as allergies. He doesn't appear to have allergies but what do I know. The tics could be a manifestation of allergies. Will food allergy tests let me know all of this? What tests should I ask for? What kind of a doctor do I go to? My pediatrician?

HELLO

For my son, mag taurate made tics worse, I would recommend Mag Citrate (like Kids Calm). I was desperate, as my son's tics were REALLY bad, and I could not figure out what to do about it. The breakthrough for us was to figure out that he has hypersensitivities to 11 items (foods, chemicals and a mold). By removing the offending foods, he has turned into a different child. 99% tic free, and NO LONGER agitated. Chemicals and mold are more of a challenge, not as easy to control, but at least I know what he tics, when he tics.

Do not waste your time going to a traditional allergy doctor. My son turned up negative to everything. Fo to www.directlabs.com and order the ELISA/ACT basic test (approx $350). In fact, here is the direct link: https://www.directlabs.com/OrderTests/tabid...US/Default.aspx

Then take the kit to a lab and have them draw the blood. If you have a nurse or doc. in the family they can do it too, just use a thinner needle than what comes with kit. Follow instructions carefully and send off the blood. In about 8-9 days you will have results posted on the webiste under your acct, and I pray that you have the same luck I had. For me it was worth EVERY penny. He had strong reactions to basic things I gave him every day: red grapes, orange, red dye, green dye, flax seed oil, chocolate, romaine lettuce. It just so happen that during his WORST ticcing time, I had started him on a FLAXSEED OIL supplement, but I am thankful for that, because it made me dig deaper. Also, note that orange and grape is EVERYWHERE: mixed juices, kids meds, kids vitamins, "kids Calm", etc...... So I just had to reorganize his life, but again, worth it.

Let me know if you need more info.

Take care!

Giulia
