If dogs can be trained to detect cancer, why not strep? Our dog trainer always thought that our little cocka-poo showed signs of being extra sensitive to and aware of smells and would be a good rescue dog for diabetics. I was thinking this morning about strep and that maybe a dog could detect the smell in urine and intracellular strep might be able to be located (in addition to the smell in your breath which is a little more obvious). I wonder how to go about training a little PANDAS dog :P

I don't need a dog--I have my daughter! She detected strep in her brother four days before he showed any signs of being ill. :)
