Chewing clothes with TS

I know 2 friends' kids (non-pandas, non-tourettes) that chew on their clothes a lot (both about 7 years old). Both kids were big thumb suckers (longer than the average, through K/1st grades). For them, I also get the feeling than this was some kind of oral thing. I think both kids are big sensory seekers as well. The girl is very "wiggley" in school. The boy is similar...his teacher commented how he would rather stand than sit to do his work during class. The girls mother commented on how her clothes were trashed b/c of the shirt sucking.

 

That said, my PANDAS dd will suck her thumb/tongue/clothes/ice when she is having an exacerbation.
