chap
thankyou so much Caryn, I have looked at his website already. I am amazed that on an American Forum someone has recommended a NZ doctor to me! Did he treat you personally? I think it would be a good idea for us to have the IgG-gliadin antibody test done on her, as Dr Fords website suggests......next challenge-how to convince her to have a blood test! She will freak out big time! thanks again......
chap
hey jees mom thanks for your reply. We've tried to go gluten free, but its just SO difficult. Shes a fussy eater , and we already have so many other restrictions (no MSG, dairy, colours, preservatives) that adding gluten to the mix has been a nightmare. Ive tried (at great expense!)four different brands of g/f breads and she wont eat any of them. Ive tried making my own, but they dont taste great. I dont know about where you are, but here, g/f choices (premade) are reasonably restricted and extremely pricey. She has been starving while on the diet, so Ive had to resort to just trying to reduce it as much as possible, rather then completely eliminating it. Im not sure if that defeats the purpose? Yes, we think going Dairy free was helpful, weve been doing it for two years, but theres always so many variables, that Im never quite sure whats working and whats not. Why are you planning to reintroduce the dairy after 6wks? Is it just to test if its been effective/ cheers
