Suzan Posted May 14, 2009 Report Share Posted May 14, 2009 How did you get to the doctor, a confirmed diagnosis, and get a prescription filled in the 12-24 hour window that you have before antivirals become ineffective? They told us 48 hours..... I think we missed that window for my dd who had this reaction and she was very sick throughout the flu. My other daughter and I started it the day we started our symptoms. Although we were very sick, we were not as bad off as she was. I thought they had strep so I took them to the doc to get swabbed once the fever started.
