pmoreno
It's interesting that the thymus gland is responsible for the development of antibodies e.g. t-cells (part of the immune response) and stops working at puberty. It grows quite rapidly until age 7, then more slowly until puberty at which time it starts to atrophy - I'm wondering - could there be some relation to the fact that PANDAS seems to fade away at puberty? EAMom
....or some relation to fact that IVIG (for PANDAS) doesn't work as well after a certain age (puberty?)??
