burping tic

Has anyone seen a burping tic in their child?? i dont know if this a tic or some OCD habit (whats the difference anyway im not sure) - he is like forcing himself to burp over and over all day without stopping. he will ask me when am i going to stop burping? i am wondering if anyone has seen this and thinks it is a tic? thank you.

Funny you should say this as Sam started doing this a few days ago. All the boys in his class learned how to make themselves burp and now he keeps doing it. I have no clue if it's a tic, OCD or just being a boy. Very frustrating though.

it is frusturating! ive put all my energy today into ignoring it. my son does it and he seems kind out out of it, like when he had body tics he would get the same kind of look on his face, does your son seem to be doing this like a tic? or is he playing around you think? i wonder how long it will last....

My son did this fora while too! I used to get so aggravated with him. I'm thinking it was a tic, but I'm not totally convinced. Sorry I'm no help, but i feel your pain
