P5P vs. B6

What can anyone tell me about P5P, the bioavailable form of vitamin B6? When would one use this form? Is it better to use P5P right off the bat? or is it only good if you know there is a problem absorbing B6? Does anyone here use it? especially in conjunction with their magnesium or zinc? And do you feel it makes a difference? Anyone feel their child cannot tolerate B6?
