JBC
Hi all -- Does anyone know of any natural seasonal allergy relief my 10 year old can take, that doesn't contain corn or corn derivatives? Claritin, including Claritin Reditabs (which he took last year before he developed this intolerance) contains corn derivatives. Thanks for any suggestions or ways to proceed! faith
There is a natural product called D-Hist (or D-Hist Jr.), that you could research. Our naturopath has it and I have seen it at Total Health vitamin store. The main ingredient is quercetin, I think. I have used this product for my son, but not for actual seasonal allergy symptoms which he does not seem to display, but wanted to see if it had any effect on lowering histamine and thus tics, I don't really think it ultimately did anything dramatic in that respect, but I do think it is a good product. Caryn
When I was pregnant my G.P.'s midwife told me that alfalpha capsules were good for that. It helped a lot. I have always been a stuffy, drippy, congested mess, my whole life from the time I was very young. Supposedly going GF should help that (so I have been told). I will let you all know this spring how we all do as a family. (It has been a year now, so this would be the true test......)
JBC
Thanks very much for your replies. I appreciate it! Caryn, wouldn't it be great if you didn't have allergies anymore? Wouldn't that be a nice perk of going GF!
