More on coconut oil

I have a jar of organic coconut oil (refined) by Spectrum. I am confused as you are all saying it has a strong smell, mine seems to be odorless and flavorless. (it is like a white solid) Is it supposed to smell and taste like coconuts?

Yes, Faith, good organic coconut oil should have a very strong coconut smell and taste. It should be unrefined.

 

I don't know if any of you have heard of Keven Trudeau, he wrote a few books and I believe is on TV tho I don't have cable so I'm not sure. Anyway, he has coconut oil down as "miraculous category" his books opened my eyes to some things I would have been better off not knowing, but I'm glad I read them.
