Pinpointing tic triggers

It is so frustrating because I can't seem to pinpoint what food is causing my son to have a throat clearing tic! It's apparent it's something he's eating, because he won't be clearing his throat, then he'll eat, and there's the throat clearing tic, loud and continuous. It's funny, because my husband has an immediate reaction to something he's eating too, for example today at Ryans, Bradley started first, and then my husband began his sneezing, nose running fit. They both say they feel like there's "junk" in their throat! His throat clearing tic got softer when I took him off of soy milk and put him back on Rice milk. His allergy testing said he is okay with soy, but I noticed the soy milk had artificial flavors. I couldn't believe it! Going to Ryans won't help because he eats a variety of things there and it would be impossible to figure out what it is.

I've tried writing down what he's eating but being consistent is really hard. I think tomorrow I'm going to let him have one or two things, write them down, see if there's an immediate reaction, and then do the same thing throughout the day. It'll make it easier to pinpoint what it is with just one or two things. The things he had a sensitivity to were, cow's milk, 3, wheat, 1, cheese, 2, Quinoa, 2, apple, 1, beef, 1, coconut, 1, cranberry, 1, egg, 1, goat's milk, 1, mustard, 1, oat, 1, baker's and brewer's yeast, 1, cranberry, 1, chili pepper, 1. One of these must be lurking in his food. I've noticed maybe high fructose corn syrup, because sometimes when he drinks Sprite he seems to start clearing his throat. It's just not everytime so I don't know what to think! I wish I could get him tested for artificial flavors, high fructose corn syrup, and similiar additives. I hate the fact that I might have to take another thing away from him that he enjoys eating, but if it can't be helped, it can't be helped!
