emma1
Does anyone find this helpful for a PANDAS child? A doctor just told me this should be my first step, but it seems so hard with a teenager to try to get her to eat this way!
michele
We are currently doing this. It gets easier to figure out as you go. Check out Special Diets for Special Kids book. There is a lot of regular products you can use. Goggle GFCF and you will get alot of foods and recipes. We have a local health store that carries a ton of GFCF foods. It is expensive though. My son has some hyperactivity so a low sugar diet is very important too. I bought some sugar cookies from a local bakery that are GF but the sugar is high and they have corn syrup and in an hour after eating them he is flying high. I feel bad though because he has to have a special snack at school and church so he looks different to the other kids. Plus like today they had pizza at the fire station after church for lunch and I did not have a substitute meal. I can see a difference in his behaviors when we stick to the diet. To me it is worth it. It is a change in life style though. Michele Does anyone find this helpful for a PANDAS child?
