Vocal tics

Had anybody’s child got vocal tics that are every second of every day? It is the same sound over and over again! Apart from when he is talking or singing, he is hardly ever just quiet!

Yeah, my cousin had something like that too. Same sound over and over all day, unless he was talking or singing. It drove everyone a bit crazy, but he couldn’t help it. Sometimes doing stuff he liked helped calm it a little.

@selenatics did he get better? My son is constant noise or words, only break is when he is asleep! I find it really hard sometimes, I feel helpless that nothing I do helps him

When flaring, my daughter was like that.  Maybe not 1 / second, but definitely 1 / 10 seconds.  Was like a sharp grunt.  Made it really hard to watch a movie with her. 

We got her completely tic free, and she's still good at age 12 now, so there is hope.

@Atexgow did you get your daughter tic free please? I have no idea what the triggers are or how to get any relief for him

Check out some of my other posts for details.  In short, there was definitely a dairy allergy and likely gluten.  Only eat natural and did a lot of work to avoid consuming pesticides, and we also went completely chemical free in the house.
