kathylr
Can anyone recommend a doctor in Chicago for a 21 year old? My daughter was dxed PANDAS age 4 (OCD and tics), fibromyalgia age 16, IBS recently age 20, and now experiencing symptoms of chronic fatigue, bulimia, and some sort of vaginal pain symptom so far undiagnosed. The wheels are coming off. She was under the care of a ped psych for years since the OCD dx but he is in Indianapolis and has recently retired from practice. Am I right all these symptoms are probably related to PANDAS/Anxiety? All the docs I can find are pediatric, what does an adult with this history do? She doesn't have a psychiatrist, her ob/gyn has continued her Zoloft and Topomax prescriptions originally prescribed by her retired pediatric psychiatrist. I don't even know what sort of doctor she needs. Seeing separate docs for these symptoms (ob/gyn, gastroenterologist) has gotten her dxes but no treatment to speak of. I keep thinking she needs a good psychiatrist but how do I find one who treats PANDAS adults? Thanks in advance for any direction. Kathy

pr40
if kovacevic does not work or in addition, you may want to find dr treating chronic fatigue syndrome. there has been a break thorugh recently in diagnosing it. kathylr
MomWithOCDSon
In terms of medical treatment in the Chicago area, Dr. K. is probably a good place to start. If you would like a referral to a PANDAS-savvy psychiatrist in the area, feel free to PM me and I will share some information. kathylr
