I have the paperback versions, but there has been numerous times I wanted the kindle version for my android tablet, but did not want to spend another 20 ish a piece for them. Now I have them, at much less, and based on kiddos labs and how she feels, I swear by this stuff now.

Gee. I have been wishing for copies of his herbal antimicrobial books for my kindle as well. It's a pain to drag the paper ones to the cottage for light reading on the beach .

 

Just took a look. Here in Canada, I didn't even have to join Amazon Prime.ca to get the low prices. Yay!

The books on sale are the updated versions of his original Herbal Antibiotics: Natural Alternatives for Treating Drug-Resistant Bacteria (Medicinal Herb Guide).

Although these books don't explain the infection-specific protocols (which can be found on his website), they do have up to date and in depth discussions on most of the herbs Buhner presently recommends for the coinfections; with information on preparation and sourcing as well.

These are wonderful introductions on the use of herbs to treat illness caused by resistant organisms, not only the ones caused by lyme/co.

I have the paperback version of the 2nd edition of the Herbal Antibiotics. Do you have the first edition? If so, would it be worth my money for the protocols to buy the first edition as well?

 

I had read somewhere that the first edition was written more in lay terms and easier for most to understand. I have no problem with the terminology in the 2nd book, but I have read many are put off by the heavy terminology.

Yes, I have the first version. In that version Buhner highly recommends garlic and some of the other more common western herbs (ginger, turmeric etc).

 

The second version explores more of the less-common, but which Buhner feels to be more effective for the emerging resistant infections, eastern herbs like houttuynia, sida, cryptolepis etc.
