Flares with exposure to strep

My son is having some little flares right now and we just found out that 2 kids and a staff member from his class had strep this week. I know I talked to another mom who said her child exhibits flares when exposed to strep but doesn't actually have strep. Anyone else see this in their child? My son is already on prophylactic antibiotics. Anything else to do for it?

Yes, I compare this to a peanut allergy. Kids with severe peanut allergies can react even when they are sitting next to someone eating peanuts just like pandas/pans kids can react when exposed to others with strep infection or strep carriers. Good news is that usually these types of flairs don't last long.
