trintiybella
This head ache does not go away with lyme treatment or any drug the doctor has tried. I had 2 MRI's and they are fine. The pain is in the pack of my head by my neck and really bad by temples. Feels like someone poured acid in my head. Or their is a vice getting tighter and tighter around temples. Neurologist wants me in to discuss pain management medicines but I am wondering if there are any other tests that may tell me something. The MRI would not have showed a pincer nerve, would it? Can you give me some suggestions. The pain gets worse and worse, and I am a bit worried now. They are in the middle of the night too. Saw ENT also. Sorry so this is so choppy. Edited January 16, 2014 by trintiybella
qannie47
Are you sure this is not muscle related or coming from your back? Your description sounds so much like the headaches that I used to experience. My neck was so sore and it went straight to my temples. My temples would get so sensitive that it hurt to even touch them. Truly my whole head hurt. I lived on 20 Tylenol a day. Not to smart. It was a chiropractor that helped me by giving me neck and back adjustments. Ten years of pain went away in 3 weeks.
NancyD
Isn't your DD being treated for Bart? How about you? Bart headaches can be awful! Mine were worse in middle of the night. Lyme treatment didn't help the headaches but Bart treatment did. This head ache does not go away with lyme treatment or any drug the doctor has tried. I had 2 MRI's and they are fine. trintiybella
gannie47 - did they exray or do MRI's to rule anything else out first? I don't blame you for swallowing that much tylenol. The pain is awful. Lyme and bart. treatment were not helping after 2 years and I am not convinced this head ache is from that. Not sure though. The pain NEVER subsides. So far 4 extra strength tylenol have done nothing. Do you think yours was related to bulging discs?
Mayzoo
I tried to send you a pm, but it did not go through. Is your box full?
qannie47
I sometimes had a headache for 4 weeks straight..and when it subsided, it was only for a day or two. But mainly, I always had a headache...I was young and without great insurance, so I did not go that route. My pain ended up being from 2 separate whip lash injuries that I never knew existed from 15 years prior to onset of headaches. Except I did not know that I had a whiplash injury. I chalked it up to gymnastics, or an older brother who used to slam me against the wall. When the Chiro took the xray, and walked back in the room, he said, "When did you get the whip lash?" I of course gave him the deer in the headlight look...So that was how my treatment started. 1 week later" 50% reduction on headaches...2 weeks" 75% reduction 3 weeks: NO HEADACHES. I followed a 1 time a month regime follow up for 1 year. I have been headache free for over 20 years. Well, that kind of headache....Now it is rare and sinus related... but not the same kind. mama2alex
Could it be food allergies? These gave me near constant headaches until I figured it out (no doctor ever figured it out). Have you tried eliminating the usual suspects - gluten, dairy, soy - to see if the headaches subside?
mama2alex
Mold toxicity can also cause headaches. Did you ever resolve the mold issue at your place?
trintiybella
I emptied my mailbox mayzoo. We have been in this place for 3 years, and have only checked mold through inspector. He said it was fine, but I know there tests are not good enough. Not sure its mold since the first 2 years I was fine. I will stll look into it. I spent thousands on mold in my previous home and not sure I want to put that kind of money out again. Is there something I can do that isn't going to break me? mama2alex
An ERMI test will tell you if you have a mold problem or not, and its "only" $300, I think. You can order it from Mycometrics. Eliminating gluten, dairy and soy for a few weeks would be the lowest cost way to start. If that doesn't work, the chiropractor seems like a good thing to try. Then if nothing else works, maybe do the ERMI test.
