My opinion, yes -- though I'm not a doctor, nor a patient person, according to some people. But another person who went down a very long road to recovery recent told me to expect a month or so of herxing with a new medicine -- so two months seems too long to me, imo

I would have to say yes as well.

When DD started tindamax her herx response didn't appear to be the same as with other abx we had used. With the other abx there had been a herx/resolution cycle of between 4 days to 14 days depending on the protocol. With tindamax we just saw the herx, escalating, with no resolution. For this reason our LLMD suggested pulsing 4 days on, 3 days off.

It was only by pulsing that we were able to see any resolution of herxing with this drug. With each successive pulse the initial herx would be less dramatic than the previous had been. When DD had gotten to a point where she was no longer herxing with the introduction of tindamax each week, we were able to wean from abx.

Yes, plenty long enough. By now I would be thinking it is an intolerance to the antibiotic. You need to try a different antibiotics. No need to keep beating your head against this same wall.

I think 2 months is long enough for anyone to have to endure. While it could be a herx where the treatment is still causing die-off, if she's still having severe symptoms, I'd say enough is enough and look for another option. When my DS did tindamax, we pulsed 2 days on and 5 days off but even then, his response was so severe that after 5 weeks we had to stop, let things calm down and then try something else. I will say this tho - once things calmed down after that awful 5 weeks, things were really, really improved. Like the sun coming out after a hurricane. (the calming down took several weeks b/c it involved tics and his tics always took weeks to resolve).
