trintiybella Posted August 31, 2013 Report Posted August 31, 2013 Oh my gosh. There so odd looking. They don't even look like anything on Dr. Jones website!!! They look like scar tissue left behind from surgery. Only way to describe them!!
PowPow Posted August 31, 2013 Report Posted August 31, 2013 Where are they? Is she purposely hiding them? Could it be from self-harm?
LexMom Posted August 31, 2013 Report Posted August 31, 2013 I was reading about Bartonella and I think there is a rash associated with it that can look like stretch marks.
trintiybella Posted September 1, 2013 Author Report Posted September 1, 2013 there on the back of her leg...just below her bum. she doesn't even know its there. i saw it today, because she had some short shorts on. she showed me some others on her thighs awhile ago and i always wondered if they were just stretch marks or related to bartonella.( hard to tell the difference,) but when i saw these, it freaked me out. not your typical stretch marks. real red, and more 3 dimensional. i am going to try and get her to let me take a picture.
cobbiemommy Posted September 1, 2013 Report Posted September 1, 2013 That definitely sounds like a bart rash. DS had a rash that became raised after he started medication. His started in his abdomen/groin area and ended up under his arms, his abdomen, behind his knees, and under his bum. It takes a long while to get over it. Sounds like you are onto something.
trintiybella Posted September 1, 2013 Author Report Posted September 1, 2013 I saw some really red, raised ones in the morning and then when I looked again at night they were almost gone. Can that happen? she has tons of stretch marks all over her legs, buttocks, and groin area. Sad for a teenage girl. :0(
tpotter Posted September 2, 2013 Report Posted September 2, 2013 I see that she has tested positive for bartonella and lyme. Are you treating for both...both cystic and regular forms?
trintiybella Posted September 2, 2013 Author Report Posted September 2, 2013 She is on bactrim and minocycline for the bartonella and lyme. What do cystic and regular forms mean?
