Our kids are Balkan (Italian in small part) plus Celtic mix.

EAmom had a good point that Dr.K's sampling is far from random. Although Chicago/MidWest does have a much larger melting pot then just those three groups.

 

I know that many people are more willing to follow a psych drug/therapy route here in NYC then try to understand and treat PANDAS : (

I have to think about economic implications, as well.

Only people who can afford PANS treatment get it.

Too many variables with Dr. K's ethnicity pattern, IMO.

Glad there are more studies, that will help our kids.

but if it is genetic, there could be some rules that are worth discovering.

For instance, I know that psoriasis is much less frequent in African populations.

Interesting. Dr K has never mentioned this to us in any of our appointments. DS is an ethnic Russian and he was born in Russia.
