JuliaFaith
My son has been on the PANS journey for over 3+ years now and is currently doing GcMAF injections to try to get his immune system working again. This has caused him some additional inflammation and so doing school work has been a bit more difficult. He is currently doing an on-line free public school and I am the coach! :-0 Anyway, he has a medical 504 for his schooling which gives him some extra time for assignments. He is currently about a month behind in one class because of an illness and now treatment. The teacher of this class just gave him a "Student of the Month" award for April! Yes, mom was crying! This was so unexpected and gave my son a much-needed boost during a difficult time. So good to know there are caring and loving people out there willing to help during these difficult times that we are all facing. Here is hoping that you all will find people like this during your journey as well! Best wishes to you all on healing! ChrissyD and SSS
3boysmom
Our son has been on this journey for 3+ years as well. What grade is your son in? We are doing K12 public on line school and it has been great! He was on a medical 504 as well, but he just needed something else and special education wasn't for him either. He can do the work, but the attention and OCD get in the way. What state are you in? I wish ther was a way for these kids(PANDAS) to connect. Someone said there was a FBook site. Do you know one? Congratulations on your "star of the month". So nice when we can here positive things! Linda

He has connected with a few 'Pandas' kids on xbox but they were younger. He is in 9th grade and attends the K12 school too! What grade is your son in? Son has had the worst OCD ever (for him) at the start of his new treatment and school has been especially difficult. It has calmed down a bit but he is only doing 3 classes out of 6. He does do weekly neurofeedback which he says helps him focus better and seems to be helping a bit thru this present "healing crisis." We are in WA state and you? Thank you for your reply. Take care. 3boysmom
We are in Tx. DS is 13 and in 7th. He is more mature than most 18 year olds though. He is not a gamer and doesn't have FB. I would get him onto FB if there was a PANDAS kid type support page. He is mostly into playing basketball and is interested in cars....already trying to pick out what car he will drive. He wears a size 11 shoe and has a complete mustache! I think when he got this illness, life became so serious, he can no longer relate to silly old boy stuff. Hunter starts his k12 in the morning and it takes him twice as long as the average child to do his work. So sometimes he is on the computer for 8-10 hours a day. If he doesn't make a 100, he retaked the lesson ( even if it is a 90). If you want the boys to exchange emails, PM me.... He would love to connect with a peer that can relate.
