Info. on getting IVIG approved

Personally we have not done this but it seems quite a few on this forum are, so thought this might be interesting. Someone said they had IVIG covered after doing this test. The article does seem more related to ASD but has some interesting observations.

Does anyone know if medicaid approves IVIG?

At least one state I know pays for IVIG thru Medicaid. That is Ohio. However, I doubt that PANDAS is mentioned in the diagnosis. THE most important thing when trying to get IVIG approved is to NOT mention PANDAS. We've been very fortunate to have two paid for with our BCBS insurance BUT the diagnosis is post infectious encephalitis NOT PANDAS. DS does not have any immune deficiencies.
