We have been searching for months what the infection is that is making Meg react. We started a treaent of Augmentin and Biaxin for H Pylori and she had a HUGE decrease in anxiety in 24 hours. But it also was a liquid that really irritated her throat. So after a few days we stopped it and the anxiety returned. So we start today on the tablet. I was just wondering what experience has anyone had with Biaxin as far as what were they treating?

Thanks.

We are using it for myco and strep. I wish it would help w my son's anxiety but it haa not so far. It helps with his tics (motor and vocal). He was originally on Augmentin and Biaxin and then the Augmentin started to make him nauseous.

My 16 y.o. son was just diagnosed by Dr. T and started on Biaxin and Valtrex (due to raging mouth sores, and elevated strep and myco titers) as of last Thursday. We have seen a daily decrease in OCD symptoms. We are not 100% sure if it's the meds or not, because he is 2 weeks off of Paxil SSRI, after a 4 week taper-down. That was a crazy experience with all sorts of new and horrible behaviors and the OCD exploded during that time...so I am hoping it's the Biaxin and/or Valtrex...not sure, though. Either way, things are improving. :-)

We used biaxin/rifampin for lyme/bartonella and saw a good decrease in pain/ticcing symptoms to about 80% of what they had been. We are still after the last 20%.
