Bright news for the vacation

Maybe it's coincidence, but after a week of extra zinc supplementation I got an email from DS' teacher this morning about the great week he had with hard work on his math and writing (previously very poor subjects). Paying attention the week before vacation is tough for any kid I think, but for him to show an improvement makes me so happy. Augmentin + Zythromycin + Zinc is making for a nice equation :)

So greatful for the good advice here,

Emily

How much Zinc are you using and the weight of your child? We could use a little more attention and focusing round here! ;) I've tried various supplements suggested for various reasons from this site. Some have worked. Most have not.....but I'm always willing to give a trial when I see some of this info to see if it has a long lasting impact for my child. Probiotics were no go. Fish Oil is Ok for us. NAC was a no go. Have not tried Zinc???

Thanks!

Here is a informative forum thread regarding KPU:

We have not tested for it and I am hesitant to supplement too much zinc if we don't need it, because of the way it interacts with copper. This will be one of the tests I talk to the LLMD about at DD11's next appointment.
