Strep in Ears

HI

I am hearing that strep can hide out in ears and not cause pain but can cause nausea, balance issues, walking issues, anxiety, etc....how do you check for strep in your ears?

 

The OCD fdn said they have found many pandas kids with strep hiding in their ears. I cannot find out how to check for it. Regular doctor is out of town.

You probably need to see an ENT. If your child isn't experiencing any classic sign of an ear infection, including pain and/or drainage, then getting to the potentially infected fluid will probably require some procedure that goes through or past the eardrum somehow, to reach the inner ear.
