LaurenK Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 Is it possible to have bartonella and Lyme & no neurocomplications at all?
NancyD Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 Sure, I did. Only physical symptoms. Whereas DD16 had both physical and neuro symptoms.
mdmom Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 This is true in my family as well - we should be a case study for a Lyme doc. My son presents only with neuropsych symptoms (sounds weird - but I almost wish he had some visible physical symptoms). My daughter presents with mostly physical symptoms.
Hopeny Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 Yes! My friend's son has Lyme, Bart & Babesia and only has physical symptoms, fever, headache, malaise - no real joint pain, no neuro or psych issues. My DD has Lyme and tests negative for Bart although we suspect it and has psych symptoms and joint pain, no fevers.
SSS Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 And, you can have neuro symptoms and not be aware of it in yourself, or rationalize and call it other things (well, this is going on in my life, etc.) This was the case for me. When I first started to realize I had Lyme and Bartonella (and I had 100% positive tests come back) I had to do some soul searching and get really honest with myself.
