colleendonny Posted June 1, 2012 Report Posted June 1, 2012 DD5 has had nausea since last night. And she developed a fever of 101.2 today which was brought down with Advil. She has little energy and looks a bit pale. She is on Augmentin 600mg and A-bart, which I didn't give her today. Maybe its just a virus passing. There are no PANDAS symptoms right now. If it were something serious like pancreatitis, she would be in lots of pain, right?
LNN Posted June 1, 2012 Report Posted June 1, 2012 Not sure about the pancreatitis. But can tell you that hand-foot-mouth disease is going around, at least in northern CT. Fever 102-103, fatigue, no appetite, some nausea (DD threw up once but it was after taking pills so think that was what triggered it). Then the day after the fever, small hives/blisters appear, mostly on feet, bottoms of feet, fingers, around and in mouth...might be itchy, might not be. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate...
colleendonny Posted June 1, 2012 Author Report Posted June 1, 2012 I'll check for that, thanks. It is going on here too. We actually saw a little girl today at the park with it today. Kayleigh was 2 feet from her.

sosudden Posted June 1, 2012 Report Posted June 1, 2012 OK just wanted to say that my DD was on Augmentin for 3 months and her anorexia got SO bad as well as her color OMG she looked GREEN & YELLOW and PALE and just awful!! After narrowing down her supplements to nothing --- we figured out it was the Augmentin!! Switched her to Zithromax and no more of those AWFUL symptoms!!
colleendonny Posted June 1, 2012 Author Report Posted June 1, 2012 (edited) Ok, so its probably not pancreatitis..Her fever went up to 104 tonight. She is a little pale and she is just saying that she feels like she has to vomit. But she had oatmeal for dinner and a popsicle, and never threw up. So we are doing Advil and tylenol for the inbetween when it gets high. I guess we will ride it out tonight and see if we need to head to the pediatrician tomorrow. She is sad she is missing her last day of gymnastics tomorrow Edited June 1, 2012 by colleendonny
minimaxwell Posted June 2, 2012 Report Posted June 2, 2012 @tpotter... I thought we were the only ones that were dealing with pancreatitis!!! Any others?? Colleen, hope she gets well soon!
