I thought I'd share with you this little gem from my conversation with my husband this morning - for those of you who are familiar with our story, both my kids have PANDAS, my son is fairly severe - but textbook. Our biggest issue is chronic infection - already 4 this year alone (post T&A in November!)

We always have the whole family swabbed when anyone comes up positive, and the dogs have been treated as well - just in case.

Now - to our conversation this morning - my husband has a full beard, occasionally he has to shave it for work when - so he shaved this last week. He looks at me this morning and says "I thought after I lost all that weight (50 lbs since 2010), my face would be thinner when I shaved off my beard, but its not. Then I noticed that my glands are really swollen - I wonder how long they've been like that - isn't that a sign of strep?"

Really? We've been going through this for 2+ years and you're just going to throw this out there now? Needless to say, he's not allowed back in the house until he gets in to see the doctor :P

We swab the whole family (as well as blood test often) if one of us has it especially. I hope that this is the answer to your problems!! My DH previously ignored sore throats....not any more!! Kudos to him for loosing weight during such a stressful time :)

ROFLMAO.......Sorry can't help but laugh. Just like a man, right? Sounds just like something my husband would do. Hope you get your husband taken care of, but thanks for sharing and giving me a laugh.
