Kimflow Posted April 21, 2012 Report Posted April 21, 2012 (edited) Hi, Two different doctors have suggested two different immune supports. Wondering if you all had any thoughts on them or had previously used them to help fight PANDAS. The DAN doctor prescribed Immunovir which is just isoprinosine ( I believe that organ meats are high in isoprinosine as well as brewers yeast). This is an immunomodulator first and then antiviral and one sight mentioned antifungal. I can see how this would be useful to not only immunomodulate but also the antiviral might avoid laters PANS type responses to viral colds, etc. This one is scary because I have read other reports of people using it for CFS and they said they tanked on it. Maybe the safest way to approach this is to eat organic organ meats a couple times a week. The holistic integrative doctor suggested Xymogen IgG 2000. The part about this supplement that concerns me is that it is high in cysteine which my son previously did not tolerate. So many things that are supposed to help him, he is sensitive too. I know that whatever one I choose to use, I will dose very low and slow to avoid viral detox/fungal die off/or even the cysteine issues which I believe have to do with sensitivity to methylation in some way. Thanks for your thoughts. Kim Edited April 21, 2012 by Kimflow

Thanks for your thoughts. Kim I use xymogen IgG 2000, and have for about 8 or 9 months now. I was muscle tested for it. Neither of my children needed it, though. Was muscle testing used to determine either recommendation? Also, I like the go low, go slow.
Kimflow Posted April 21, 2012 Author Report Posted April 21, 2012 No, this is the next thing I have to get done. Muscle test him for supplements. Possibly the next time I take him to DC office. The doc in DC I took him too....apparently they have someone in the office who muscle tests. Prior to this, I have always been concerned at finding someone I could realy trust to do this well. I know some mothers do this but I feel like I really need to be instructed to do so. Something to read more about. Yes, low and slow or I always have more problems. Kim
