lismom Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 I like the facts about this alternative to cholestyramine but there are side effects. Instead of constipation from the cholestyramine you can get cramping and diarrhea in some people from the pectin. It is a fiber so I get that there is a possibility for loose stools, but how to get the dose necessary to really detox neurotoxins and metals. I started slow, as always recommended but the dose for theraputic is atleast 3000mg to 5000mg. Anyone have any advice on the mod apple pectin?
JuliaFaith Posted February 15, 2012 Report Posted February 15, 2012 Do not know about pectin treatment, but something I read on Vitamin C treatment said to take it every hour (i.e., during a cold) until you had 'intestinal distress' then either stop at prior dosage or stop taking it, did not state in the article.
