I made an appointment with a local immunologist. Maybe he will run some of the tests to rule things out? Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could get local docs to communicate with pandas specialists and learn/share ideas and info? So I'm taking a leap. Don't know if this doctor will even know about Pandas. I got his name from our ped. Looks like he did some time at NIH, so maybe he's at least heard of pandas through Swedo being at NIMH.

Anyhow, I was wondering if someone who has recently seen Dr. B has a copy of what he orders on labs at first visits? The full battery. Hoping I can bring it to this immuno, and he will respect is since it is coming from a reputable fellow physician. I can't imagine Dr. B would have it a secret....they can't be trying to monopolize the pandas scene, right?

Anyhow, would be grateful if anyone could share the list. Will clear box in case you want to PM me (and i can send e-mail).

Thanks.

Hi Eljomom,

There seems to be a very good list of diagnostic tests going under tpotter's recent post "What Diagnostic Tests?" over on the Lyme forum. It looks pretty comprehensive - not just for Lyme Disease.

I will loook at that. Just to be clear, I am NOT just looking for Lyme testing. I am looking for DR. B's list of labs.....I actually had it at one point last year to show to dr. L, but I think either she kept it (after refusing to run any of the tests) or I misplaced it. Sure wish I had it now.

It's not just lyme that's being tested (in fact, there's only 2 tests on the list that would be Lyme, but IMHO, I would suggest that it should, at least, be considered. Many of the tests are ones that Dr. B. ordered, and the others are ones that we parents have found, over time, to be helpful in figuring out this puzzle (we're all still figuring.) I started the list, because I know several people who have asked me for a list of tests. Personally, I am going to my doc tomorrow to ask her to run all the tests that I haven't already run, because I had strep constantly as a child, have been sick for a long time, am currently being treated for Lyme and MycoP (for the past year), both my kids with PANDAS/Lyme, etc. have high IgG to many of the things on here (including viruses, now,) and I want to know if maybe I'm the one giving it to them, like I did with the mycoP.

So, I would certainly check it out.

I will look for it and let you know when I find it. This is the list from about 18 months ago, so you might one that is more updated, but it is pretty comprehensive.

Our son saw Dr. B. in April 2011. Our lab orders included: total IgA, IgA2 subclasses; total IgM; IgG subclasses: Tetanus antitoxoid IgG; Haemophilus influenzae Type B IgG; Total IgG; Total IgE; Pneumococcal IgG (14 serotypes); C3D; Tissue Transglutaminase Anti-IgA; Gliadin Anti-IgA; CBC; T3; T4; TSH; Mycoplasma pneumoniae IgG/IgM; chem screen; Anti-Streptolysin O titers; Anti-DNAse-B titers; along with Igenex testing with coinfections.

If you are going to be seeing a board certified immunologist, you may want to ask about the relevance of an anti-neoplastic antibody panel. This type of test is used to identify the currently identifiable antibodies that cause anti-neuronal disease. This is new technology, as progress is made there will be more antibodies that are able to be identified. Some of these antibodies cause symptoms similar to pandas symptoms. Doctor may also want to look at C reactive protein level among other inflammatory markers.

Might also want to get pertussis titer done if your state requires DTP booster for school . If your child makes the antibody - you don't need the booster and your doc will proably have no problems writing a letter for you.
